When reading a ISBN13 code is via the barcode EAN13, found only the 13 digits. However, the standard requires (English manual page 9, § 4: "The Elements Must Be EACH clearly" separated by hyphens or spaces When Displayed in human readable form "). However, it is possible, using a heuristic very reliable, to rework the code EAN13 to restore the distinction between different blocks of code (prefix, country, producer ...) to display the ISBN-13 with indents.
