Changing the maximum volume of the Iphone

By default the iPhone sold in Europe have a volume clamped to 83% of maximum volume that the material is capable of producing. Here’s how to remove (or more generally change) this restriction.

Prerequisites

- A jailbroken iPhone;

- Sftp access to the iPhone (you must install the OpenSSH package in Cydia, have an sftp client on your desktop machine and connect the two on the same network);

- A plist file editor on the PC as " plist editor ( publisher’s site ).

 Procedure 
 - Using the sftp client, retrieve the file on the Iphone RegionalVolumeLimits.plist in the / System / Library / PrivateFrameworks / Celestial.framework /;

- Open the file using the plist editor. You will get an XML like:

- Replace all occurrences of "0.82999999999999996" with "1";



- Save the modification;



- Using the sftp client, replace the plist file in place on the Iphone;



- Restart the phone (turn it off by long pressing the button at the top right and validating the extinction, then back on).
